Stage Rights is working diligently to provide you with the tools you need to bring live theatrical experiences to your audience, wherever they may be. We hope to enjoy the camaraderie and celebration of live theater in theaters across the country soon, but until everyone can gather together safely, streaming a live theatrical event may be the next best thing.
You can also livestream play readings and concert versions of many of our shows. Let your imagination run wild, and then come and ask us if it’s possible.
To see the list of shows that have streaming rights already cleared, go to the SHOWS PAGE and choose the Category “Streaming Rights Available” and click FIND.
Every show that appears in the search results can be issued streaming rights licenses while audiences are restricted from gathering in your theater.
For shows that do not appear on the list, please make the request in the Special Request section on your Application. Some shows can have streaming rights issued on a case-by-case basis, and others require a “live streaming only” performance license.
Once you know the show you’d like to produce and stream to your audience, apply for rights from the show page, answer a few questions, and you’re off to the races. We do need to know what platform you will use: see below for more information on our preferred streaming platforms.
We want to give you the choice of the platform you want to stream from. Every performance must be password protected. Not many of us went into the theater because we’re tech geniuses, so we have to rely on streaming platforms to provide most of our tech. Luckily, there are some incredibly advanced streaming platforms from which you can choose depending on your needs. Each of the following preferred streaming platforms have excellent customer service, easy-to-use interfaces, and tech help to get your started.
