The Broadway community brought in the most it has ever raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids as part of the Gypsy of the Year competition, with a total of $5,609,211.

That total was announced Tuesday after performances for the Gypsy of the Year competition, with Dear Evan Hansen taking the top fundraising honor with $555,196. Hello, Dolly! and Hamilton followed, bringing in $505,869 and $291,091 respectively in the six weeks the shows have been raising money for the cause.
Hamilton also took top honors among touring companies with its Angelica tour bringing in $536,777, which is the most ever raised for this competition by a national tour.
