If you can scream loudly, you might be perfect for Broadway’s ‘King Kong’

WANTED: An actress who can scream like Fay Wray eight times a week.

The creators of the King Kong musical are in town this week looking for Ann Darrow, the beauty that’ll kill their beast at the Broadway Theatre in the fall of 2018.

No stars are auditioning — “The show already has a star: He’s 24-feet-high and hairy,” says a production source — but the team wants a gorgeous leading lady with killer pipes. The designers of Kong, who by all accounts is spectacular, are the people who created those “Walking With Dinosaurs” spectacles that play arenas all over the world.
