Household Name, a new comedy pilot starring Tony and Emmy-winning comedic actor Carol Burnett, has been given the go-ahead by ABC, according to Deadline.com.
The multi-camera series is written and executive-produced by Michael Saltzman. Amy Poehler is also an executive producer through Paper Kite. Universal TV is the studio. Other executive producers include Brooke Posch, Dave Becky, and Michael Pelmont.
The comedy, according to the industry website, concerns “a family who gets a chance to buy the house of their dreams but under extremely abnormal circumstances: They must live with the current owner, an eccentric, larger-than-life actress (Burnett) — until she dies.”
